From the beginning of our time together, we've always had the travel bug.

We're Cheryl and Steve — two travelers who love discovering new places, admiring beautiful architecture, wandering through botanical gardens, meeting people, trying new foods and experiencing the world through the lens of other cultures.

We also love the challenge that comes with travel. Figuring out how to get somewhere. Navigating a new language. Finding our way through unfamiliar territory. And occasionally realizing that the way we thought something worked is completely backwards!

Since becoming empty nesters, we've had more opportunities to explore — and we've taken advantage of them. A recent attempt to map our travels surprised even us: 42 countries and counting.

But somewhere along the way, we realized that the number of places we've visited isn't really what matters to us.

It's how we experience them.

We love the outdoors and build hiking and adventure into many of our trips. But we equally love wandering through a neighborhood, discovering a great local restaurant, finding a hidden café, visiting a garden or simply following a street because we're curious about what's around the corner.

That's really what Summit & Streets is about.

The summits we climb. The streets we wander. And everything we discover in between.

We're sharing our experiences, the things we've learned and the places we've loved in hopes that they'll inspire your own adventures — and we'd love to hear where you think we should go next.
